English family moving to Ras Al Khaimah?

We are a young English family who maybe moving to Ras Al Khaimah and would like to know a little bit about the standard of living etc.. We have a small baby and will be moving with my husbands work so accommodation all sorted just want to know the suitability for young people, is it very western, are there any childrens clubs etc, shops, is it expensive?
