Dog shows...do you find it appalling?

When you watch behind the scenes where the groomers are fixing the dogs hair do you fin it as appalling as I do that they straighten the dogs hair and brush it and everything they do just to win a ribbon? I would never make my dog go through the embarrment the dogs go through. It's not even the dogs that are winning the prizes but the owners. I hate when people dress up their dogs to look all prissy. I think it's so I don't know the word but I hate that owners make their dogs do this crap. What do you think?
