Why doesn't my driver side power door lock work?

I have already replaced the door lock actuator, and the on works fine (I tested it on the other side). All that is left is the lock rods and the door latch, and I greased the crap out of the latch. The vehicle is a 1993 Chevy half ton Silverado. Now what?
